History

History:
Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University was established with the mission of “Bridge Opening to the Future” with Law No. 6640 published in the Official Gazette dated April 23, 2015 and numbered 29335. Our university started its academic life with the educational institutions taken over from Balıkesir University, which has a deep-rooted history of 23 years. It was decided to establish our faculty as the Faculty of Architecture and Design in accordance with the additional article 30 of the Law No. 2809 on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions published in the Official Gazette dated October 4, 2019 and numbered 30908.

The name of the Faculty of Architecture and Design was changed to the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture with Law No. 2809 published in the Official Gazette dated March 4, 2022 and numbered 31768.
