Reflection of Design on Society: Impressive Graduation Exhibition by Graphic Design Students

Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Graphic Design Department, while giving its first graduates, demonstrated an understanding of art that is sensitive to social issues with the projects prepared by the students. The works developed within the scope of the Graduation Project course met with art lovers with a comprehensive exhibition opened in the Student Life Center foyer area on June 17, 2025.
The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Eylem Güzel, academicians, students and many guests. Participants examined the students' projects on site in the exhibition area and received detailed information about the works.
The projects in the exhibition were evaluated within a broad framework that included conceptual art, performance art and interdisciplinary approaches, although they were based on graphic design. Students, who handled themes such as social awareness, environmental sensitivity, cultural heritage and new forms of expression brought by the digital age, conveyed strong messages through design. The exhibition, which attracted great interest from visitors, revealed how effective graphic design can be not only visually but also as an intellectual form of expression. This exhibition, consisting of projects by Graphic Design Department students that touch society, will be open to visitors until June 20, 2025.
